Cough Drops

  • 2 cups sugar
  • 2/3 cup light corn syrup
  • 2/3 cup water (strong herb tea)

Blend in saucepan, the sugar, corn syrup and tea. Place over low heat, stirring until mixture boils. Now put in candy thermometer, cook, stirring occasionally, to hard crack stage (300 degrees). You may add flavoring such as cherry, licorice, eucalyptus, mint or horehound. Pour into candy molds or onto a greased sheet and when hard break into pieces.

Herb Candy Balls

Mix peanut butter or sesame butter with honey to make a thick paste. Add powdered herbs of your choice. Other good additives are bee pollen, royal jelly and spirulina. You may also wish to add coconut, carob powder, chocolate chips, raisin, chopped nuts, etc. Roll into balls, and chill.
